Is there any submission fee for publication in the Colloquium?

No. The Colloquium is a non-paid (no submission/processing fee) journal fully funded by The Bhawanipur Education Society College, Kolkata, India. However, in the case of submission of coloured figures (images, graphs), the author/s may be asked to bear a nominal charge that shall be required for reproduction of the same in the hard copy. In such cases, the author/s shall be intimated (if required) of the charge incurred through email after the submission is accepted for publication.

What is the publication frequency of the Colloquium?

Presently, the Colloquium is published annually.

How can I submit my work for the Colloquium?

All submissions for the Colloquium should be mailed to colloquium.besc@thebges.edu.in.

Can I submit more than one manuscript for consideration of publication in the Colloquium?

Yes, an author can make multiple submissions (individually/jointly) for consideration of publication in the Colloquium.

What types of manuscripts are considered for publication in the Colloquium?

The Colloquium encourages and considers for publication of both theoretical and empirical research works on any of the following premises (but not strictly limited to them): Perspective Building, Field-Work Studies, Case Studies, Experimental Studies. We also encourage submission of book reviews on seminal books, written on and/or around the theme of any particular issue, published in recent times [preferably within the last five (5) years].

Is Colloquium an online journal?

No, Colloquium is presently a print journal only. However, we do upload the soft copies of the accepted manuscripts online to facilitate greater research visibility to the author/s.

Will I get a hard copy of the Journal issue if my manuscript gets accepted/published?

Yes, individual author/s shall get one hard copy of the Journal issue if her/his/their manuscript get/s accepted/published.

Is the prescribed word limit for the Colloquium absolutely binding?

While we generally encourage research paper submissions to be within 4500-6000 words (including references, tables, figures and appendices), exceptions may be made for quality research works subject to approval by the Editorial Board. The word limit for book reviews (within 1200-1500 words), however, shall be binding.

Should I wish to submit a Book Review, will the institution provide me with a book copy?

No. For Book Reviews, the contributors shall have to acquire the concerned book themselves.

How long does it take for an accepted manuscript to be actually published?

The expected publication time shall be communicated to the author/s through email if and after a manuscript is accepted upon the completion of the process of anonymous double-blind peer review.
